Bring the intelligence that works for you.
Youbot supports configured AI providers, including OpenAI-compatible endpoints and local Ollama models. The models available depend on your provider, account and configuration.
Use an online provider
Get API access
Create an API key with your chosen provider and confirm that your account has access and usage credit. A consumer chat subscription is separate from API billing.
Configure AI settings
Open AI settings in Youbot. Add the provider, endpoint if needed, key and model. Save your settings.
Check a real reply
Try a visitor conversation and check for a reply. Saving a key alone does not verify that the provider accepts it.
Use a local model
Install Ollama and download a model that supports tool use. Select Ollama in AI settings and configure the endpoint and installed model. Hardware, model size and context length affect memory usage and response time.
Where your data goes
An online model receives the content required for its requests. Connected tools may send data to their services too. A local model reduces reliance on an online AI provider, but messaging and other integrations can still communicate externally.
